We are proud to be working with one of the UK's leading insurance companies as they look to recruit two committed Telephone Sales Agents for their Aylesbury based contact centre operation. This is a flexible hybrid role working Monday to Friday only, with shifts falling between 9am - 6pm. The client could consider fully remote for very strong candidates.

As a Telephone Sales Agent, you will be contacting potential customers from an up-to-date database aiming to gain their continued custom. You must take pride in providing an efficient and effective service, offering a range of suitable policies on behalf of their affiliated partners. You will be able to demonstrate exemplary customer service, resilience and confidence while taking a smart approach to negotiation. A passion for animal welfare along with some knowledge of insurance would also be advantageous.

To be considered for this role, you must have experience working in a sales driven and customer focused environment, ideally a role dealing with insurance within a contact centre. The salary banding is between £22,500 - £24,000, with a realistic OTE of £28,000 - £30,000.

Telephone Sale Agent Duties:

  • Handle inbound calls from customers and provide suitable quotations and polices.
  • Make outbound calls to offer insurance quotations to existing customers and other warm leads.
  • Make accurate cost calculations, providing customers with quotations.
  • Supporting the customer with all necessary information in order to make an informed decision/purchase.
  • Regularly achieve sales, service and activity targets, utilising skills gained from training using a consultative and confident approach.
  • Highlight product features and benefits based on identified customer needs.
  • Maintain appropriate methods of communication through the sales and service process.
  • Ensure customer records are kept up to date and payments are in line with security protocols.
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to at all times, including Health and Safety, training, meetings and industry developments.

  • Proven successful background in a Telephone sales and customer focused environment.
  • Ability and determination to consistently overachieve targets.
  • A smart and dynamic approach to inbound and outbound sales.
  • Competent in handling and overcoming customer objections.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • To have a genuine interest in the health and wellbeing of animals.
