Our client based in Feltham are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing team. With regular travel to client sites, including London, as per business needs, you will join a company who work with commercial landlords, building consultants, investment companies, property developers and directly with both corporates and SMEs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quote Feasibility Analysis: Evaluate the feasibility of all quotation opportunities. Conduct site surveys as necessary, review CAD drawings, research and negotiate supply costs, and establish favourable payment terms with suppliers.
- Quote Preparation & Approval: Prepare quotes for approval by senior management, ensuring projected profit margins are within authorised parameters.
- Client Communication: Submit approved quotes to clients, ensuring accuracy, and follow up to record outcomes. Analyse and report on the success of quotes, including reasons for unsuccessful bids.
- Project Planning & Collaboration: Collaborate with Project Managers (PM), Site Leads, and the Health & Safety team during the project planning phase to ensure seamless execution.
- Commercial Project Management: Oversee projects from initial enquiry through to completion. Develop and issue internal budgets, ensuring targeted profit margins are achieved. Provide comprehensive analysis and reporting on project outcomes.
- Procurement Management: Coordinate procurement activities in collaboration with the PM and Site Lead. Ensure the accuracy of orders, quantities, and delivery timelines, while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Site Oversight: Attend site meetings and support the Project Manager in monitoring project progress when required.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain strong client relationships to foster repeat business and referrals.
Requirements:
- Accurate and timely costing, pricing, and submission of quotes.
- Meeting target conversion rates of quotes to awarded contracts.
- Successful project completion within agreed timelines, budget, and quality standards.
