Our school in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, is committed to providing exceptional education and care for our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) students. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our team and contribute to the success of our young learners.
Job Description: As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and learning of our youngest pupils. You will work closely with the EYFS Teacher to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the planning and delivery of the EYFS curriculum.
- Supporting children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Providing one-on-one and small group support to children.
- Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
- Observing and recording children's progress.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
- Building positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
Requirements:
- A relevant qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting.
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to supporting children's development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive, positive, and flexible approach to work.
- An understanding of the EYFS framework.
