Are you an experienced professional within buying/procurement looking to take your next step in your career within a multibillion turnover company?
This organisation are a large multi-national business within the aircraft sector. Due to continued growth they are looking for a Buyer to join the team.
This is an excellent role for an individual experienced Buyer looking to progress their career within a well-established aviation sector company.
The Role:
- Identify opportunities to drive down costs through centralised purchasing activity, leveraging spend across the three sites and the wider group, record cost down savings activity for submission to management review, monitor and progress open purchase orders, follow up on stock outages where applicable and review part number demand to adjust min/max levels as required.
- Source spare parts on the open inventory market, including possible next higher assemblies for parts teardown. Ensure that stock is available for use as and when required in compliance with company and industry guidelines and regulations.
- Arrange supplier product returns and capture important information regarding quality/delivery issues for the assessment of supplier KPI performance.
- Assist in the resolution of any delivery/quality/invoice issues.
- Monday - Thursday, 08.00 - 16.30, Friday 08.00 - 15.30
The Person:
- Procurement/Buyer experience within an MRO business
- Experience in MRP purchasing and stock management systems
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to manipulate large amounts of data to produce reports and analytical results.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawing and product specifications.
