We are looking for a reliable and customer-oriented Warehouse & Despatch Supervisor based in Hayes for a business who is a leading supplier of workspace solutions. They are currently seeking an experienced Warehouse and Despatch Supervisor to join their team.
- Salary - 28k-30k depending on experience.
- Permanent Position.
- Days of Work - Monday - Friday.
- Hours of Work - 6am to 2.30pm though flexibility is expected given the nature of the role.
- Available immediately.
Experience Required:
- Full Clean Licence for a 3.5t vehicle.
- Experience driving a forklift.
- Experience of warehouse environment with particular experience in stock management activities and despatch.
- A strong customer service ethic. Practical, hands-on approach to problem solving on the job.
- Previous Warehouse Supervisor experience.
Day to Day of the Role.
- Managing delivery notes.
- Picking items from stock and preparing all orders for delivery.
- Preparing all routes for morning departures
- Loading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Ensuring all daily deliveries and paperwork leave the warehouse.
- Collaborating with colleagues to allocate daily deliveries effectively.
- Ensuring vehicles depart on time, according to schedules.
- Scheduling and allocating timed and "off-route" deliveries into the dispatch schedule.
- Preparing and dispatching orders via courier/mail.
- Recording all delivery and dispatch information
- Providing driver cover for deliveries during holidays and absences.
Goods Inwards.
- Accepting and verifying deliveries
- Recording in Goods in Log
- Checking condition and accuracy.
- Booking against Purchase Orders.
- Handling issues promptly.
- Processing for despatch or storage.
Stock Control and Managment.
- Storing incoming goods daily.
- Updating stock locations in the warehouse system.
- Replenishing pick points for morning despatch.
- Preparing supplier returns for collection.
General Warehouse
- Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy.
- Regularly checking and replenishing warehouse and vehicle supplies.
- Properly disposing of recycling/waste and coordinating with suppliers for collection.
- Checking and maintaining equipment, including forklifts, ladders, and trolleys.
- Assisting with in-house maintenance as needed.
