To support our ongoing growth and success, they are seeking an experienced and dynamic Contracts Manager to oversee multiple civil schemes across the West Midlands region.

Job Description: As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating multiple civil engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will play a crucial role in overseeing contracts, managing client relationships, and leading project teams to successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage multiple civil engineering projects ranging from £5 million to £12 million.
  • Develop and implement effective contract management strategies and plans.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage and coordinate project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained.
  • Prepare and present project reports and updates to senior management and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Project Manager in the construction or civil engineering sector.
  • Strong understanding of contract management, project management, and civil engineering principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, preferably within the £5 million to £12 million range.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the West Midlands region.
