Bookkeeper - Part time
- Annual Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 depending on experience

We are seeking a Part Time Bookkeeper with a strong background in the construction or glazing industry. This role requires a meticulous individual who can maintain high-quality bookkeeping standards and report directly to the directors. The successful candidate will be integral in managing our financial records using Xero and ensuring compliance with current financial regulations.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Maintain books and records accurately using Xero.
- Handle posting and reconciliation of bank transactions monthly.
- Manage sales invoices, including raising, posting, and assisting with debtor collection.
- Oversee purchase invoices, ensuring they match POs issued, and manage creditor reconciliations.
- Prepare VAT returns and assist with year-end accounts in coordination with our accountant.
- Ensure compliance with the new VAT reverse charge and handle monthly CIS submissions.
- Develop monthly management accounts and report findings to the management team.
- Provide administrative support including receptionist duties and handling PA tasks for directors.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in bookkeeping, preferably within the construction or glazing industry.
- Proficient in using Xero with at least 5 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations relevant to the construction industry.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work under pressure and use initiative.
