Job Title: Social Worker - Children's Intake and Assessment Team

Contract: Full-time, Temporary

Rhondda Cynon Taf Council is dedicated to ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families within our community. Our Children's Intake and Assessment Team plays a pivotal role in safeguarding children by conducting assessments and providing immediate support to those in need. We are seeking a committed and skilled Social Worker to join our team and make a significant difference in the lives of children and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct timely and comprehensive assessments of children and families referred to the service.
- Respond to safeguarding concerns, taking appropriate action to protect children at risk.
- Work closely with families, offering support and guidance to address identified needs and challenges.
- Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals.
- Engage with multi-agency teams to ensure a coordinated approach to support and intervention.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
- Attend and contribute to child protection conferences, strategy meetings, and court proceedings as required.
- Work proactively to prevent family breakdown and promote the well-being of children within their home environment.
Minimum Requirements:
-SCW Registration
-2 year post qualifying experience within UK
-Eligibility to work in the UK
