Here at ARM we are recruiting for a full time permanent Head of Compliance for a global IT services and consultancy client of ours.

Overview:
The Head of Compliance is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization's compliance programs to ensure that all business operations are conducted in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves managing compliance risks, conducting compliance training, and serving as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies. The Head of Compliance collaborates with senior management and various departments to foster a culture of compliance and ethical behaviour within the organization.

Responsibilities:
Compliance Program Development and Management:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure that compliance programs are aligned with the organization's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of compliance programs to address emerging risks and regulatory changes.

Risk Management:

  • Identify, assess, and manage compliance risks across the organization.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential compliance violations.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and assessments to ensure adherence to policies and regulations.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Monitor and interpret relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Ensure that the organization complies with all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and manage regulatory examinations and audits.

Training and Awareness:

  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Promote a culture of compliance and ethical behaviour within the organization.
  • Ensure that employees are aware of their compliance responsibilities and understand relevant policies and procedures.

Incident Management:

  • Oversee the investigation and resolution of compliance incidents and violations.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to address compliance deficiencies.
  • Report significant compliance issues to senior management and regulatory agencies as required.

Policy Development and Review:

  • Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that policies are communicated effectively to employees and are consistently enforced.
  • Conduct regular reviews of policies to ensure they remain current and effective.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of compliance programs, policies, and activities.
  • Generate regular reports on compliance activities, risks, and incidents for senior management and the board of directors.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate compliance metrics and trends.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Lead and manage the compliance team, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
  • Conduct performance reviews and develop training plans for compliance staff.
  • Foster a collaborative and ethical environment within the compliance team.

Qualifications:
Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of compliance principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex compliance issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Experience:

  • 10yrs+ of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field, with at least 5yrs in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs in a complex organization.
  • Strong background in regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Proficiency in compliance management tools and software.
  • PCI-DSS experience
  • CIS Critical Security Controls.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant certifications such as CCEP, CRCM, or similar.
  • Experience with compliance in specific industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, technology).
  • Familiarity with international compliance standards and regulations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications.
