Management Accountant

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our client on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The ideal candidate will be immediately available to start and have prior experience in the manufacturing sector. This role is critical in providing financial insights and support to the management team, helping to drive business performance.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports to assist with decision-making.
- Analyse financial performance and contribute to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts.
- Monitor and report on budgets and cash flows.
- Maintain and improve processes and controls associated with manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.
- Work closely with the operations team to understand and support with cost analysis, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Liaise with non-finance departments to improve transparency and understanding of financial reporting.
- Manage compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.
- Support year-end financial audits and prepare audit schedules.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in management accounting, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Must be immediately available to start the contract.
