We are seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a vibrant primary school in Hillingdon. This full-time maternity cover role is an excellent opportunity for a teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to contribute to a supportive and dynamic educational environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans that meet the curriculum and the needs of all students.
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages children's curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
- Assess and record students' progress, preparing reports and communicating with parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and uphold the school's standards.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
- Implement classroom management strategies to maintain a structured and disciplined environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience in teaching Year 1 or similar primary education levels.
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and effective teaching methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to engage and inspire young learners.
