Our client, a leading financially backed Tech firm are looking for a Finance Manager to join their dedicated team. Reporting to the Finance Director, this pivotal role involves leading a small finance team and managing the full spectrum of financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, management accounting, and month-end processes. As a Finance Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact and contribute to the strategic direction of our organisation during a period of exciting growth.

This role would likely suit a PQ or Finalist candidate with a strong track-record who is looking to take on a challenging new role that could grow into a FC role over time.

This is a permanent position paying £50,000-£60,000.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Prepare Management Accounts with precision and within deadlines.
  • Manage the accounts receivable and payable processes through two direct reports.
  • Take charge of overall sales ledger management.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and manage accruals, prepayments, income in advance, and VAT.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
  • Handle monthly fixed asset depreciation and reconciliation.
  • Manage quarterly consumption tax reconciliations.
  • Prepare and administer VAT, MOSS VAT, and sales tax returns.
  • Address EU invoicing and VAT queries.
  • Oversee inventory management and conduct P&L analysis.
  • Run weekly and monthly payment processes.
  • Support the Finance Reporting Lead with audit activities.
  • Assist the commercial team with transactional queries.

Expected Impact:

  • Enhance the accuracy and delivery speed of Management Accounts.
  • Drive general finance process improvements.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to direct reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Part-Qualified or finalist Accountant - ACCA, CIMA, or ACA.
  • Demonstrable accounts experience.
  • Previous team management or mentoring experience.
  • Strong Excel and systems skills.
  • Flexibility and confidence to take initiative in an evolving environment.
  • Meticulous, organised, and detail-oriented.

Bonus Experience:

  • Previous experience in a SaaS business is highly regarded.
