Global Accounting Network are partnered with a leading visual communications client who is seeking a Part Qualified Management Accountant to join their Finance team on a 9-12 month maternity cover contract. This role involves ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of month-end and year-end accounts. You'll work in a hybrid setting, with three days in the office and two days remote, offering a valuable opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the month-end process, ensuring all deadlines are met and financial entries, such as accruals and prepayments, are accurately completed.
- Collaborate with the Finance Director to prepare and distribute month-end reports.
- Conduct detailed balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Manage banking entries and address any banking-related queries.
- Ensure all invoices are processed for automatic payments.
- Assist the finance team with ad hoc tasks, contributing to ongoing process improvements.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Part qualified (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
- Solid experience in management accounting and financial analysis.
- Proficient in MS Excel for complex data analysis (including Xlookups and pivot tables).
- Previous experience in professional services is highly desirable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
