Curriculum Cover Assistant

We are excited to announce the opportunity for a reliable, efficient, and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Curriculum Cover Assistant. This role is ideal for someone considering a career in teaching, or for a Teaching Assistant or Higher-Level Teaching Assistant looking for career progression. You will have the chance to work across a wide range of subject areas, supervising classes and implementing plans provided by absent teachers.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Supervise classes for absent teachers, ensuring that students remain on task with the work provided.
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Provide feedback to teachers on class activities and student progress.
- Assist in preparing teaching materials and resources as required.
- Support students in understanding and completing the work set.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and contribute to the smooth operation of the school.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working in an educational setting.
- Educated to Level 3 (two GCE ‘A' Level passes).
- Level 2 qualifications in English and Mathematics (GCSE Grade C or higher or equivalent).
- High level of initiative and the skills to manage challenging situations confidently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
