Requirements:

  • At least a bachelor's degree in psychology, or a related field.
  • Some understanding of additional learning needs.
  • Ability to form close connections with secondary school students.
  • An adaptable, patient character.
  • Prior experience of working with additional or complex needs is preferable.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working in close collaboration with a student with severe Autism to support them through all aspects of the curriculum and enable them to achieve their full potential. You will work in close collaboration with teaching staff to adapt learning materials and lesson plans to suit the individual needs of the student. You will partake in continuous professional development opportunities to enrich your supporting abilities and ensure the unique needs of the student are accommodated as effectively as possible.
