Commercial Finance Controller - Hybrid Working

About the Business

An opportunity to be a Commercial Financial Controller for a global service business based near Quinton, who have lots of growth potential and really look after their employees. The company has a strong team of around 40 people, closely knit team with internal managers that have been there for a long time. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead a small, talented team within a growing, finance department that operates across the entire company.

The true aim of this role is to help drive and develop the commercial reporting for their manufacturing side of the business.

Main Duties:

As a Commercial Financial Controller, your main duties include:

  • A key lead in the business partnering team for the manufacturing function, including looking at process improvements across the manufacturing site
  • Management of a small team of part qualified and qualified staff
  • Take full ownership of the commercial planning and forecasting
  • Manage monthly and quarterly KPIs, ensuring accurate corporate reporting.
  • Lead the manufacturing Finance function, reporting directly to the CFO.
  • Provide support and input during key operations meetings.
  • Resolve any issues that arise within the team or processes.
  • Project management and analysis of the financial impact of large, manufacturing and finance projects.
  • Ensure accounting policies are adhered too
  • Contribute to the annual budget process.
  • Address any internal and external audit queries.
  • Oversee stocktaking procedures.

Location / Office / Culture

The role is hybrid with 3 days in the office based near Quinton with free parking. The company operate from a modern office consisting of a strong team around 40. The business are a cutting edge manufacturing business, manufacturing technology and electronics, The business is very flexible in its working patterns and due to the current ongoing growth offers great chances for progression.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.
  • Strong commercial experience
  • Team management experience
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
