Overview

Mitchell Adam is currently seeking a Management Accountant to join a niche retail business in the heart of Birmingham. You will join a medium-sized accounting department and report directly to the Finance Director to tackle interesting growth projects and dynamic day-to-day responsibilities. The business has been growing consistently for over 10 years, with a strong focus on investing in their employees and systems, making you a key player in this growth.

Initially, you will assist with the preparation of the management accounts pack for different entities within the business, offering critical financial insights to the CFO. You will support essential month-end processes, develop FP&A including stock and overhead analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and deliver variance analysis for management.

Skills needed

  • Be currently studying towards your ACCA/CIMA, fully qualified, or QBE.
  • Have experience with in the retail sector (although desired this is not a necessity).
  • Be comfortable compiling quarterly reports and confident in delivering variance commentary.
  • Be looking for a long-term position to grow as the business continues to develop.
