Your new companyYour new role working as a DA Underwriter means that you will be working for a mid-market Commercial Insurer based in the city, where it has been serving its customers for over 40 years. Providing efficient, timely and professional support to brokers for both new business & renewals, midterm adjustment and general enquiries. Due to exciting growth within their team, a fantastic opportunity for a DA Underwriter to join their London team has arisen.
Your new job working as a DA Underwriter means you will be responsible for:
- Managing their delegated authority schemes
- Dealing with Commercial combined business
- Proactively develop strong relationships with a designated panel of brokers
- Collaborate with partner brokers and across Underwriting and Operations to routinely review scheme performance, identify opportunities to grow, improve the proposition, improve profitability and find efficiencies
- Attend binder renewal meetings, prepare a renewal proposal and present to the Underwriting Committee
What you'll need to succeed
- 3 - 5 Years Underwriting experience
- 3+ Years experience dealing with London Market risks
- Would look at someone with Commercial Combined UW experience
- Strong knowledge of Insurance
- Experience in Delegated Authority account management, ideally from an insurance carrier or a mainstream MGA is a bonus
- Knowledge of the UK insurance market, and relevant regulatory practices and legislations in the industry
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills combined with a proven track record of relationship management
