THE ROLE
Due to continued growth across the company there is now an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to come on board and drive new business forward. A broad role your responsibilities will include:
- Actively developing business from new clients
- Generating and converting leads
- Researching and contacting new prospect businesses
- Securing a pipeline of ongoing profitable revenue
- Working closely with all internal departments of the business to understand clients aims and ensure all services of the business are offered and upsold
- Booking and attending client meetings
- Presentation preparation (including costings) and leading on pitches
- Taking briefs
- Networking at events and trade shows
- Building long lasting relationships with key clients
- Onsite attendance for events where required
THE CANDIDATE
Candidates must have solid and proven background in sales combined with strong knowledge and passion for the events industry. A proven track record of developing relationships and identifying and winning business is essential and candidates must have figures to support this. Candidates must be commercially aware, client facing and have proven experience in leading pitches and taking briefs. Any experience of working for an event supplier or temporary structure company would be an added benefit but is not essential for the role. Due to the nature of the role candidates must hold a full driving licence and be open to regular travel.
