Our leading Financial Services client is looking for highly skilled Project Manager to join their London based team for a 6 months initial contract.
About the Role
Lorien's key global banking client are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead high-impact projects in Liquidity, Finance Risk and Controls, Regulatory Finance Change, and Basel IV.
This role is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of regulatory change and financial risk management, partnering with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and drive transformation in line with Basel IV requirements.
Key Responsibilities
-Lead Projects in regulatory finance change, focusing on liquidity management, financial risk controls, and Basel IV implementation.
-Develop and Maintain Project Plans that align with regulatory requirements, timelines, and risk management standards, ensuring all deliverables are met.
-Collaborate Cross-Functionally with finance, risk, compliance, and technology teams to ensure regulatory compliance and robust control environments.
-Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, providing regular updates and insights into project progress and risk mitigation strategies.
-Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential project risks and implement effective mitigation plans to ensure regulatory requirements are consistently met.
-Change Management: Support the organisation in adapting to Basel IV regulations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements
-5-10+ years of project management experience within finance, focusing on regulatory change, liquidity management, or financial risk and controls.
-Strong knowledge of Basel IV, liquidity risk management, and regulatory finance frameworks.
-Proven experience in large-scale regulatory change programs, with a focus on risk and control frameworks.
-Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work with senior leaders across finance, compliance, and risk.
-Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) and strong familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
-Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of finance regulatory standards.
