Based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, our fast-growing client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis, based in their offices 5 days a week.
This job would someone with previous experience in an accounting or finance environment, to be responsible for providing essential support in various accounting functions and the wider team, contributing to the efficient operation of the finance department.

The successful individual will have efficient accountancy understanding, including experience with invoicing. They must have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Proficiency in accounting software and Excel is essential.
Duties will include:
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations.
- Prepare and maintain financial records, including ledgers, journals, and spreadsheets.
- Assist with invoice processing, including verification, coding, and data entry.
- Respond to inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding account status and transactions.
- Support the finance team in ad-hoc tasks and special projects as needed.
