Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils across the school and running intervention sessions to address specific learning needs. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on student achievement and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils across all key stages, providing academic and pastoral support as needed.
- Plan and deliver targeted intervention sessions to small groups or individual students, focusing on areas of need identified by class teachers.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to assess student progress and adjust intervention strategies accordingly.
- Assist in the planning and preparation of learning resources and materials.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment within the school.
- Supervise students during break times and other non-classroom activities as required.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school through participation in school events and activities.
Requirements:
- Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) qualification or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a primary school setting, ideally in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of primary curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Ability to plan and deliver targeted intervention sessions to address specific learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- A positive and proactive approach to supporting student learning and well-being.
- Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students.
- hold an enhanced DBS on the update service.
