If it's a yes, Randstad Education has an exciting role for you! We are currently recruiting for an experienced and personable Science Teacher to support an excellent Secondary school in Upminster. A candidate with a strong grasp of the science curriculum, a love of science, charm, and the ability to keep children interested and involved in the classroom would be the best fit for the role of science teacher.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - this is essential
  • Eligibility to work in the UK- this is essential
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service
  • Minimum of 3 Months teaching experience in the UK
  • Experience of teaching science in KS3 and KS4
  • Thorough knowledge of the national curriculum and proficiency in teaching all three science disciplines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging science lessons that cover Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, catering to students at Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of diverse learners

  • Implement effective teaching strategies that encompass active learning

  • Foster a nurturing and supportive classroom environment where every student feels valued and motivated

  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning

  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich students' educational experiences
