Job Purpose:
Responsible for all aspects of the logistics supply chain, stores management, development and optimisation of site logistics solutions to meet the needs of the project.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Planning site set up to move labour, plant and materials around site efficiently for the duration/phases of a construction project.
- Responsibility to keep site safe and secure for workers, clients, visitors etc.
- Planning with the project team key deliveries to understand any arrangements for specialist plant and/or contractors to ensure maximum efficiency and safety of site staff and minimum disruption to site production.
- Creating and updating logistic plans / traffic management plans
- Managing on-line booking systems
- Managing site cleaning personnel
- Managing site security personnel
- Ensuring first aid cover and equipment is present, replenish first aid kits
- Ensuring firefighting cover and equipment is present, organising inspections / replacements of extinguishers as required
- Attend internal project team meetings and briefings
- Attend internal meetings with supply chain
- Attend external meetings with clients and their supply chain.
- Attendances / leading daily DABS for logistics related issues
- Creating a system to communicate information around the site. (Noticeboards, emails etc.)
Flexibility to work weekends / evenings
Knowledge & Experience:
- Previous experience in a Logistical role and of managing logistics processes
- Previous experience working on a construction site
- Experience in reviewing / approving RAMS
- Basic IT skills
