Accounts Payable Finance Supervisor

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £26,444 - £29,605 per annum

Due to business diversification and growth, our clients are looking to recruit an experienced finance officer to provide the main point of contact for the finance support element of the university franchise activity, this is a new post within their established finance team.

The Role

The successful applicant will form constructive working relationships, with both University staff and external stakeholders, including business partners, to ensure robust and effective procedures are in place.

They will be required to provide accurate and timely information to both internal and external colleagues and ensure a student/partnership focussed support service is always delivered.

Alongside this the postholder will oversee the university Accounts Payable function, from purchase order to payment. This requires staff supervision as well as hands-on Accounts Payable support and cover as required.

They will be required to work effectively using their own initiative, as well as working as part of the finance team to provide an efficient finance service to the University and engage with the University's core business of providing high quality, formative education to students.

Skills and Qualifications

Applicants must:

  • Evidence exceptional attention to detail
  • Be articulate and numerate in their work
  • Possess effective supervisory, communication, time management and organisational skills
  • Possess a 'can do' attitude
  • Have demonstrable, recent experience of working within a busy finance environment
  • Be educated to GCSE standard (minimum of 4 GCSE's including English and Maths)
  • Possess excellent MS Office/Advanced Excel skills
