Role Overview

As a Warehouse Operative, you will support the business by fulfilling our client's requirements, picking and packing orders, carrying out stock replenishment, and supporting the arrival and dispatching of goods (Good In/Good Out).

We are looking for fantastic people to join our warehouse team who have experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

As part of this Warehouse Operative role, you will:

  • Deliver a high-quality warehouse service to our customers, ensuring that products are accurately picked, packed, and despatched.
  • Ensure that stock is replenished in a timely manner.
  • Update records in Excel sheets and our Warehouse Management System.
  • Meet the current Key Performance Indicators.
  • Be willing to follow the set procedures and training.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the site.
  • Positively respond to instruction from the management team.
  • Focus on providing a successful customer experience.

Working Hours

These Warehouse Operative roles involve working flexible hours on a five days out of seven basis. The working pattern changes seasonally: Jan to Sept 10:00 - 18:00, Oct to Nov 14:00 - 22:00, Dec 10:00 - 18:00. There may be a need for occasional 08:00 - 16:00 cover.

Essential Skills

  • Motivation and stamina are essential in this physical role as it involves long periods of being on your feet and occasional lifting and unloading items up to 25kg
  • Competent levels of Maths and English (verbal and written) and basic computer skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to undertake different tasks with speed and accuracy
  • Reliability - good timekeeping and attendance
  • Strong health and safety awareness
  • Good communication skills in order to quickly understand instructions and liaise effectively with colleagues and customers
  • A team player with a positive, can-do attitude who is hard working and willing to learn with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team to ensure work is completed

Desirable Skills

  • A forklift licence would be an advantage, but full training can be given
  • Good IT skills for data input, email, etc.
  • Previous experience in a similar working environment
