Senior DevOps Engineer
- Annual Salary: £38,844 - £49,844 (with additional pension contributions averaging 28%)

We are on the lookout for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Digital and Technology directorate at an exciting time of transformation. The ideal candidate will be focused on customer service, service availability, and adept at problem-solving and root cause analysis. You will be part of a large, diverse team of engineers and play a key role in supporting and developing internal and external services.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Maintenance, upgrades, automation, and service improvements of our systems.
- Resolving ServiceNow Incident issues and conducting root cause analysis.
- Contributing to projects that enhance the range and quality of digital services.
- Participating in the on-call rota to ensure services remain operational 24/7/365.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in incident/problem resolution and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in system software build and release, and automation of manual processes.
- Experience with performance monitoring, alerting, and tuning.
- Demonstrable experience with Unix/Linux, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, and database querying.
- Familiarity with AWS, Java, Terraform, Concourse, Ansible, Docker, JSON, SQL, GIT, and similar technologies.
- Ability to coach and support colleagues, ensuring service requirements are met.
- Engaging in continuous improvement activities and mentoring team members.
