Lettings Manager

Location: Telford

  • £26,000 to £28,000 basic salary, dependent on experience with enrolment onto fully funded training course that will earn a Level 3 Award in Property and Housing Management (including ARLA)
  • Up to £30,000 basic if you are, ARLA qualified
  • £45,000 OTE in your first year
  • Monthly Car Allowance of £400

A day in the life of a Lettings Manager

  • Strong focus on generating new and repeat business
  • Maximise the overall income and profitability to the lettings department
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Landlords and Tenants
  • Manage and undertake a full life cycle process from appraisal to move-in and thereafter
  • Liaising with Tenants and arranging property viewings in line with their needs
  • Negotiating offers and agreeing new tenancies
  • Ensuring the business is risk-averse and following the highest compliance standards for all regulatory bodies
  • Drive the lettings team whilst leading from the front and meeting all targets
  • Leading daily meetings
  • Coaching, training and developing the team to achieve KPI's
  • Monitoring and assessing individual team member performance (Including but not limited to conducting one-to-one meetings)
  • Actively encourage your teams development and progression

Essential Skills of a Lettings Manager

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience within residential lettings at a Senior Lettings Negotiator position or higher
  • Team player who works well with others to create a team spirit and an enjoyable working environment
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with and create trusting relationships with customers, suppliers, communities and each other
  • The ability to create and action business plans relevant to your branch
  • The ability to monitor and assess performance of local competitors
  • A strong understanding of current legislation related to Residential Lettings
  • Ability to manage time sensitive and high volume workloads
  • A reputation for delivering outstanding customer service
  • Ability to work under own your initiative
  • Good telephone manner
  • Strong IT skills (Basic Microsoft Packages)
  • First-rate attention to detail

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday: 09:00 to 17:30

Alternate Saturday: 09:00 to 16:00 with a day off during the working week
