General Foreman
£275 – 325 per day
Long term contract – project up to 4 years
Based in Leicester, East Midlands
I am currently recruiting for a General Foreman / Supervisor to work on a major civil engineering project based in Leicester.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project, ensuring that the client specifications and requirements are met
- Reviewing progress and liaising with commercial team
- Liaising with the client, other construction professionals
- Coordinating and supervising construction workers
- Selecting tools and materials
- Making safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety
- Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
- Maintaining quality control procedures
- Ordering Plant and Materials
- Collation of documents and As Built Records
- Record Keeping and report writing
- Client liaison and coordination/interface
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience working as a Site Manager, General Foreman or Supervisor
- Hold SMSTS/SSSTS
- First Aid at Work, Fire Marshall, CSCS or equivalent
- Experience working within the civils sector – highways / water beneficial
- Previously worked with Tier 1 contractors
- Have full right to work in the UK
