Job Title: Household Waste Operatives, NN5 5QL
Pay Rate: £11.44ph
Workinng hours:- Any 5 out of 7 including weekends (flexibility is a must)
Job Summary: We are seeking a diligent and hardworking Household Waste Operative to join our waste management team. You will be responsible for the collection, sorting, and disposal of household waste and recyclables, ensuring a clean and safe environment for the community.
Responsibilities:
- Collect household waste and recyclables from designated areas according to the assigned route.
- Sort and separate recyclables from general waste.
- Load waste and recyclables onto collection vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Operate waste collection vehicles and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance of waste collection vehicles and equipment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of waste collection sites and vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with team members and the public to ensure efficient waste collection services.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
Requirements:
- Full valid drivers licence is essential
- Previous experience in waste management or a similar role preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays if required.
- Ability to work in all weather conditions.
