What you'll do:

As a Data Engineer, your primary role will be to build robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory. You'll be responsible for maintaining data integration, conformity, integrity, and ensuring that the data structures are designed for future business needs. Your ability to record data transformations following best practices will be crucial in making it easily understood by developers and analysts. You'll also work directly with the business to support various projects and solutions, using your problem-solving skills as challenges arise. Additionally, you'll be involved in project scoping, requirement gathering, and leading discovery processes.

  • Building data pipelines using Azure data factory for data ingestion
  • Maintaining data integration, conformity, integrity and ensuring that data structures are designed for future business needs and enhancements
  • Ensuring that data transformations are well recorded and follow best practices for easy understanding by developers and analysts
  • Working directly with the business to support various projects and solutions
  • Using problem-solving skills as challenges arise
  • Project scoping, requirement gathering and leading discovery processes

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Data Engineer position is someone who is confident working individually on projects as well as part of a team. You should have strong communication skills with experience working individually with clients. A Data Engineer Certification such as DP-203 would be highly desirable. Your strong business-to-technology translation skills will help identify ways to apply solutions to help customers improve performance. Experience with Azure Data Factory / Data Lakes / Databricks / MS Fabric / SQL server (SSIS, SSMS) / Data Warehouse solutions / Python is essential. An understanding of Azure DevOps Pipelines would be advantageous.

  • Confidence to work individually on projects as well as part of a team to support roadmap and governance processes
