Project Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as our Project Engineer, based at our European Manufacturing plant in Gravesend, Kent.Joining us on a full time, permanent basis (Monday – Friday 8.30 – 5.30pm), you will receive a competitive salary.

As our Project Engineer, you will be part of small projects team to lead and manage the delivery of CAPEX, manufacturing process and site facilities improvement projects.
Responsibilities as our Project Engineer are to:

Manage the overall project scope of Manufacturing projects and ensure safe implementation to budget, to schedule, to specification and in compliance with safety legislation and guidelines, whilst managing stakeholder expectations.

Actively participate to identify improvement opportunities in your own personal and business development plans.

Cooperate with and support other members of the Engineering team and wider organisation to achieve their objectives, which may rely on or benefit from your skills, knowledge or experience.

To observe the company policies and guidelines and encourage others to do so too.

Provide project tracker reports and KPIs to monitor performance, including the identification of risks and proposing options to manage them.

Ensure that all assets acquired or constructed during the project, are adequately capitalized and activated into the company fixed assets list.

Participate and take ownership where required in the areas of SIGO (Health and Safety management system), LPS (Loss Prevention System), Quality and Controls.
Skills required of our Project Engineer:
- University degree or equivalent
- Experience managing projects in a FMCG manufacturing environment (high speed production lines - bulk receipt and blending)
- Project management skills, ideally using a Stage-Gate type risk approach
- Ability to prepare and manage project specifications
- Applied commercial skills, particularly in relation to specifying equipment and service offer purchase order requirements
- Excellent written, communication and presentation skills
- Good awareness of CAPEX (capital) and OPEX (revenue) budgets
