Role – Warehouse Operative
Location – Salford
Salary - £12.44-£12.94 p/h (Opportunity for overtime as and wen required)
Type – Permanent
Hours - 37.5 hours a week, working shifts between 8am and 6pm for example, 8am to 4pm or 10am to 6pm
Days: 5 days across the week, Monday to Sunday.
Reed are currently working with a fantastic business who are a specialist in supplying home and commercial appliances across the UK and Internationally. The company has grown considerably over the years working with some reputable brands and are now looking to grow their customer service team further.
The client is looking for a Warehouse Operative to join their expanding warehouse team on a permanent basis.
Picking & Packing
- Using handheld scanners and pallet trucks to collect various items from around the warehouse
- Printing off courier labels to attach to the goods
- Stacking items onto pallets to certain manageable heights
- Shrink wrapping items onto pallets
- Strapping items onto pallets
Loading / Unloading Freight
- Manually hand-balling goods into large vehicles / containers
- Unloading items from vehicles / containers
General Warehouse Upkeep
- Sweeping up aisles
- Collecting up empty boxes / pallets from bays
- Putting stock items away that are not required
- Removing shrink wrap from certain pallet
Training
The ideal candidates will be trained in one or all of the below.
- Manual Handling
- Counterbalance Forklift
- Clamp Truck
