Job Purpose:
Lead integration of body mechanisms and indirect vision systems across platforms
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Day to Day Project Management of commodities through all development phases into Design releasing and validation
- Align cross functional targets, constraints and hardpoints at programme start and set DVP for system sign off.
- Lead integration between AML functions and Suppliers
- Support negotiations and maintain cost deck.
- Benchmarking competitor vehicles and technology selection based on features, materials, and manufacturing techniques
Qualification & Experience:
- Demonstrable expertise in indirect vision systems and body mechanisms
- Intrinsic knowledge of Product Creation Processes
- Ability to lead and mentor less experienced team members.
- In depth knowledge of relevant emerging technologies and global legal system level requirements
- Suitable and related to role from within the Automotive industry
- Component and system DFMEA creation and updating
- Understanding of AML processes
- Int/ext. handles, locks, latches, aero mechs, regulators, blinds, int/ext. mirrors & CMS, towbar systems
- Degree educated or equivalent
- Management training
- Practical problem-solving methodology
Behaviours:
- Comfortable working to deadlines and holding others to account
- Able to influence others – even when direct reporting lines are not present
- Competent in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
