Client Manager - accountancy practice

Reed Practice are pleased to be recruiting for qualified Accountant to join our clients' audit and accountancy department as a Manager as part of their progression planning due to the impending retirement of a Partner.

Located in the heart of Suffolk, our client has been established for many decades – but excel in moving with the times - and offer expertise to an ever-expanding range of clients.

The Manager will be responsible for servicing and developing relationships with clients, directing all services delivered and supporting the Partners with the growth of the business and general practice management.

The technical tasks of the role will involve:

  • Preparation of client accounts
  • Prepare business tax computations, partnership, and personal tax returns.
  • Responsible for leading and directing all aspects of audit services delivered.
  • Responsible for maximising profitability from a portfolio of clients.

If you have audit experience and are happy to continue in this field, the firm can accommodate with including audit clients in the portfolio. If not, this would be purely an accounts and tax post.

We are looking for an experienced candidate with sound practice and UK regulation knowledge who has:

  • ICAEW or ACCA qualified trained in a UK accounting practice - we are also open to those who may not be qualified but possess sound experience in a similar role.
  • Experience of preparing company accounts across a broad range of sectors for companies, sole traders and partnerships
  • An understanding of payroll, VAT, corporate and personal tax
  • Excellent working knowledge of UK GAAP and Financial Reporting requirements.
