Lead Power BI and Analytics Specialist

They are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Power BI and Analytics Specialist to join their team and harness data to drive strategic decisions and enhance business performance.

As a Power BI and Analytics Specialist, you will play a vital role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of data analytics solutions using Power BI, SQL, and Azure Synapse. You will collaborate closely with various departments to identify their data requirements and provide actionable insights that support key business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for various business units.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective data visualizations.
  • Utilize SQL to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into Power BI and Azure Synapse.
  • Develop and maintain data models and datasets within Power BI and Azure Synapse.
  • Optimize and manage data workflows to ensure efficient data processing and reporting.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in all analytics solutions.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI and analytics tools.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our analytics capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics and business intelligence, with a strong focus on Power BI.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).
  • Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics or similar cloud-based data warehousing solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data visualization, and dashboard design principles.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and complex data environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, or similar.
  • Experience with other data analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Tableau, Qlik).
  • Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and scripting.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and tools.
