Business Development Manager - Required for this niche travel business to target all the travel agencies, tour operators and consortia across the UK, mainly in the South. You will be selling a new piece of technology into the industry. Salary between £35-45k but they will increase this for the right candidate plus bonus and car or car allowance, OTE around 60k. Homebased and on the road.
Business Development Mangers Duties
- Develop a pipeline of sales targets categorised by location, contribution, and strategic value
- Onboard new travel agent partners and manage onboarding process effectively
- Deliver high-quality account management to travel agent partners and contribute to their success
- Understand sales channels and routes to market and identify how our lead generation product could bring new customers for the agents
- Pitch product to target travel agent partners to acquire new business
- Attend external meetings with prospective and existing travel partners, either in person or via video-conferencing
- Reaching out to airlines, cruise companies, travel agents and tour operators
- You must be comfortable with the creation and delivery of product training webinars
Business Development Managers Skills Required
- Minimum of 2 years BDM experience within the travel industry targeting travel agents
- Strong sales background, target driven
- Experience creating and delivering training
- A network of contacts with travel agencies
- Strong sales background
- Clean driving license
- Good travel industry contacts
