About the Role

  • Hours: Part-Time (3 days per week) with the potential to increase to Full-Time in 2025
  • Length: Ongoing
  • Compensation: Attractive rate based off of experience and qualifications.
  • Location: Office-based, located in Eltham, London
  • Start: Early July 2024
  • Holiday Periods: At Our Future Tutoring, staff work only during term time and are entitled to 5.6 weeks of annual leave

Our Future Tutoring has recently experienced significant growth, leading to the expansion of our HR Department. We are seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to join our team. You will work closely with another Compliance Officer who focuses on the back-end HR functions such as auditing and department development. In this role, you will support our exceptional staff in all day-to-day aspects of HR and compliance and contribute to the enhancement of our processes and policies to ensure an outstanding environment for both employees and students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring onboarding compliance is complete
  • Managing employee life cycle compliance
  • Updating and managing policies and procedures
  • Assisting with recruitment
  • Overseeing onboarding processes
  • Supporting payroll functions
  • Managing HR systems
  • Addressing day-to-day HR enquiries and providing support
  • Facilitating training and development
  • Conducting department audits and fostering recognised improvements

About You

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in an HR and/or compliance environment, with solid knowledge of employment, equality, and business law
  • Have the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment
  • Be passionate about innovative thinking and continuous process improvement
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
  • Be proficient in using computers, including Microsoft Office and online HR system
  • Hold a degree in Human Resources or a business-related field (preferred but not essential)
  • Possess a current Enhanced DBS Check or be willing to obtain one
