What will you be doing?
If you're an Active Leisure professional, you'll know the industry is changing. We're helping to drive positive change by embedding Apprenticeships into the culture of the industry and helping people with potential to achieve professional status and qualifications.
That begins with you. This is your opportunity to bring your experience of and passion for active leisure to work in a new way, inspiring the next generation. Along the way, you'll grow your skillset, gain a teaching qualification and open even more professional opportunities.
Working with work-based learners and delivering apprenticeships, you'll provide the support, guidance and motivation that helps them to get career-building qualifications. You'll also help them to achieve transferable skills (in Maths and English) if needed, managing your own admin along the way.
What will you bring to the role?
As well as recent experience gained at Manager level in the health and fitness sector, you'll also have:
- Level 2 Certificate in Gym Instruction
- Level 3 Certificate or Diploma in Personal Training
- Level 3 Nutrition
- Recent professional experience working as a General/Fitness Manager within the Health & Fitness sector
- GCSEs English and Maths (C or above or key skills equivalent)
Any of the following would be an advantage but are not essential:
- Any coaching qualification
- Group Circuits L2
- Group Static Indoor Cycling L2
- National Pool Lifeguard or equivalent
- Exercise to Music
- Managerial Qualifications
- Minimum Level 3 Teaching qualification
- Experience of working within WBL/education environment
