Contracts and Billings Team Leader

Overview:

Our client are seeking an experienced and dynamic Contract Administration and Billing Team Leader to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will lead and mentor the Contract Administration and Billing team while supporting the Billing Manager in all administrative functions for a group of companies. This role requires a meticulous and organized individual with a strong background in sales ledger and contract administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the Contract Administration and Billing team, ensuring workloads are prioritized to meet deadlines.
  • Assist the Billing Manager with ad-hoc requests and manage the team in their absence.
  • Create training schedules and train new team members.
  • Prepare and complete all sales invoices for service users.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure information is accurate.
  • Ensure contracts and all relevant paperwork are completed and received timely.
  • Create new contracts for billing and handle contract amendments.
  • Generate and check billing runs in accordance with schedules.
  • Produce timely reports and ensure month-end procedures and deadlines are followed.
  • Support the Head Office Accounts Department as needed.
  • Verify accuracy of information received from managers and correct rates.
  • Assist with year-end audits and finance-related projects.
  • Ensure the security of all received information.
  • Calculate wage budgets and handle query resolutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a sales ledger or contract administration team leader role.
  • Minimum of 6 GCSEs level A-C or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Confident, enthusiastic, and self-motivated with a determination to succeed.
  • Excellent problem-solving and issue resolution skills.
  • Flexible, punctual, and able to work under pressure.
