  • Knowledge of UK pension products and retirement options
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Delivering exceptional customer service
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes and procedures
  • They can develop positive and productive relationships with customers and clients
  • Computer literate with a willingness to learn a variety of systems
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills

Core Duties/Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Guiding customers through their retirement journey.
  • Establishing the customer's needs, explaining the options available to them and providing any risk warnings to ensure the customer understands the implications of the choices they can make.
  • Issuing a retirement pack to the customer with details of the option(s) and requirements for moving forward within the customer journey.
  • Handling follow up enquiries and/or providing requotes to customers.
  • Throughout the process providing excellent administration service to customers within the agreed Service Level Agreements and ensure excellent accuracy levels are maintained.
  • Adhere to the department/client policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all work is conducted within the Regulatory frameworks and in line with the Treating Customers Fairly principles and approaches.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in order to improve throughput and customer experience.
  • Taking responsibility for your development and working towards professional qualifications appropriate to the job, within the agreed timescale.
  • Work on own initiative and know when to escalate where necessary.
  • Contribute to audits (internal and external) and quality assurance activities as required
