  • Salary: £12.82 per hour
  • Location: Cardiff
  • Job Type: Term-time only / Monday to Friday (32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks a year)

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support the educational and social development of pupils aged 11-19 with autism.
  • Work closely with teachers to prepare and deliver learning activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback.
  • Assist in creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Contribute to the school's culture and ethos, ensuring a high standard of teaching and learning.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role.
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) as per the Education (Wales) Act 2014.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check clearance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Fluency in Welsh is advantageous but not essential.
