Are you a School Administrator looking for new position?

Empowering learning are working with a Secondary school in Sutton Coldfield who are looking to recruit a school administrator to join them in September initially until Christmas.

Duties will include general office duties, including filing, photocopying, and ordering supplies, Handle enquiries from parents, students, and external agencies, delivering excellent customer service.

This full-time, Administrator role will start in September 2024 and is for a permanent position.

Responsibilities as a School Administrator

  • Perform general office duties, including filing, photocopying, and ordering supplies.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the school leadership team, teachers, and other staff members.
  • Manage and maintain the school's SIMS database, ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of student records.
  • Handle enquiries from parents, students, and external agencies, delivering excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate student admissions, including processing applications, maintaining waiting lists, and organizing admissions events.
  • Assist with the organization and execution of school events, meetings, and activities.
  • Manage student attendance records, including tracking absences and generating reports.
  • Prepare and distribute school communications, such as newsletters, letters, and emails.
  • Maintain and update administrative systems and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures, particularly regarding data protection and safeguarding.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a UK School is essential.
  • Extensive experience with SIMS (School Information Management System) is essential.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and data protection regulations in schools.
