About The Role
To create and maintain a Functional risk standard to the agreed specification within set time limits within a specific area. Working with the Facilities manager and area supervisors in ensuring agreed SLAs are met, Health and safety is monitored with issues reported and actioned in a timely manner. The ability to be adaptive to any given situation and proactive to ensure tasks are completed to agreed timescales and agreed specifications thus allowing less of a reactive workforce.

You will be working predominantly Monday to Friday, occasional weekend, 07:00 to 15:00, 37.5 hours per week, on a permanent, full-time basis.

Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Ensure that a quality service is operated at all times
  • Adhere to company policies at all times.
  • Maintain health and safety standards.
  • Ensure personal appearance, including uniform, are of the highest standard at all times in line with company policy.
  • Be the eyes and ears of the management team when on site addressing health and safety and raising any issues in a timely manner.
  • Manage and support the site team in ensuring operating standards are maintained and all documents and audits are completed in the correct timeframe.
  • Be flexible to adapt and fit with client business demands including weekends and evenings
  • To complete Food Hygiene Level 2 award in order to be able to support inpatient sites with food service and also be licenced to handle food
  • To own, monitor and complete the programme of periodic cleaning on the estate in particular the scope of business relating to your area.

Details of the Role:

  • Training: Assist in training and development of employees and conduct team briefings Including toolbox talks
  • Supervision: Supervise staff as required and audit areas to maintain standards, attend audits with client team when requested
  • Equipment materials and stock: Manage and maintain equipment. Manage materials and stock levels and the distribution of such to ensure service quality.
  • Cleaning: Carry out general cleaning duties as required both in and out of hours
  • Communication: Ensure clear and effective 2-way communication with employees, supervisors/managers and clients
  • Health and safety: Ensure self and team are working to all health and safety policy and procedures
  • Staff: Be responsive to staff issues and assist with any matters that may escalate to your line manager.

Requirements:

  • NVQ 2 in healthcare not essential as training will be given.
  • No prior experience required supervisory level experience desirable.
  • A can-do attitude.
  • Ability to follow policy and procedures.
  • Willingness to bring concerns to corporate attention via prescribed channels.
  • Ensure you are working to OCS TRUE values and following the OCS Code of conduct at all times, ensure your personal presentation is in line with all policies and procedures.
