Geography Teacher

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to provide maternity cover at a respected educational institution in Maidenhead. The role is to start as soon as possible and will continue until the Easter break in 2025. Candidates with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) are preferred, but we are open to considering those with relevant teaching experience and a strong understanding of the Geography curriculum.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Teach Geography to students from Key Stages 3 to 5, adapting teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and the needs of all students.
- Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the school's procedures and encourage good practice with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and homework.
- Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and whole school training events.
- Foster a positive learning environment that stimulates students' interest in Geography and promotes their overall academic success.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A robust knowledge of the Geography curriculum.
- QTS is preferred, but consideration will be given to candidates with relevant experience.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to create and deliver comprehensive lesson plans.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
