We are a unique role open for a new HR Manager within a busy engineering company in Rugby.

This is the perfect role for a Senior HR Advisor who is looking to step into their first HR Managers role or someone who has been the HR Manager of a very small company but not feels like they are ready for something bigger.

It's a strictly office-based role (hybrid doesn't work for this company) and one that will involve dealing with approx. 40 heads.

You will complete the typical HR duties such as helping with recruitment, employee relations, learning and development as well as streamlining the company benefits policy.

It's not a corporate environment and this site has a basic HR system in place, so we are looking for someone who is willing to adopt new system as they start to become live.

You would report to 2 other members of staff (HR Sector Head and HR Director) and have direct access to a plant manager who is very supportive without trying to micromanage you.

The end hirer is a manufacturing client, so we really do need someone who has worked within manufacturing (there are important but key difference between manufacturing and other industries).

What does the perfect candidate have?

  • CIPD Level 3 upwards.
  • Solid CV showing commitment to an employer.
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Either experience working as a HR Manager within a smaller company OR a senior HR advisor who stands in for the HR Manager and is now ready to take their first HR Managers role.
  • Someone who is creative in their approach but commercial aware.
  • A friendly, outgoing person who is easy to get along with and absolutely not corporate.

What does this role offer?

  1. Between £37K and £40K per year (depending on if you are a senior HR Advisor or HR manager)
  2. A nice benefits package in place.
  3. Lots of support.
  4. A structured development place and ladder to climb.
  5. Creative freedom.
