Position Overview:

My client is seeking a talented

Barrister

to join their Advocacy Team. The successful candidate will represent claimants in trials across England and Wales and be involved in various forms of advocacy, including fast track and multi-track cases. This role is perfect for someone with

personal injury experience

, though we are open to candidates with a broader litigation background.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking advocacy in claimant personal injury litigation.
  • Drafting advices, pleadings, and skeleton arguments.
  • Keeping updated with procedural changes, case law, and legislation.
  • Assisting less experienced advocates with advocacy and drafting work.
  • Extensive travel across England and Wales, potentially requiring overnight stays.

Requirements:

  • Current practising certificate.
  • Higher Rights of Audience (if applicable).
  • Strong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules.
  • Demonstrable advocacy experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
