Role summary - This client is seeking a proactive and dynamic Technical Business Analyst to support the Digital Housing portfolio. This role is crucial in delivering our City for All ambitions, focusing on IT and technology, customer and digital experience, and Smart City initiatives. The successful candidate will drive impactful change and improve outcomes for our residents, businesses, visitors, and staff through innovative and collaborative approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Business Analysis: Drive the analysis for new products and services, keeping user needs at the center, and work within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Digital Transformation Ambassador: Promote strong business analysis skills as essential for digital transformation.
  • Support Service Lines: Help service lines understand, map, and articulate their transformation objectives.
  • User Story Translation: Convert information and evidence into user stories and backlog items, prioritising development, and improvements.
  • Collaborative Team Member: Work in various capacities, from product iteration to project team member using Agile/Waterfall methodologies, to deliver set outcomes.
  • Cultural Change Driver: Influence organisational culture as part of the Digital Housing portfolio.
  • Community Involvement: Actively participate in the company's business analysis community and collaborate for mutual development.
  • Life cycle Analysis Responsibility: Oversee all analysis throughout the product life cycle, from planning to execution and iteration.
  • Research and Data Utilisation: Build and execute plans for research and data gathering to understand user needs and ensure services are accessible, intuitive, and simple.
  • User Research: Conduct research with both internal and external users to inform product development.
  • Service Journey Visualisation: Map current and future processes, identify pain points, and prioritise development.
  • Service Improvement: Investigate service gaps, recommend improvements, and engage with service areas to promote agile working and digital transformation.
  • Agile Methodology Application: Utilise agile methodology and mindset in all work aspects to create a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in business analysis, especially in digital transformation projects.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to visualise service journeys and map processes.
