  • Availability: Mon-Fri, 08:30-13:00 (or three full days 08:30-15:45)

We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team, working with students with learning difficulties and social, emotional and mental health. The school is a specialised institution for boys aged six to twelve with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), including Asperger's Syndrome and ADHD. They prioritise an individualised approach, aiming to help each child flourish by building confidence, promoting respect, and addressing holistic needs beyond academics

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide one-to-one support and assist with small classes to enhance the educational experience of children with SEMH and ASD.
  • Work closely with primary school students, adapting to their individual learning needs and engaging in active learning activities.
  • Assist teachers with general tasks such as setting up classwork for the lesson.
  • Participate in inset days and engage in training and development opportunities to further enhance your skills.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with young people, particularly those with SEMH and ASC.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting children's learning.
