Finance Manager

Media Organisation seeks a Part Time Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The Part Time Finance Manager would work with the leadership team to manage the overall finance function, working with the CFO and liaising with external accountants.

The Finance Manager role would suit a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for sport and seeking a part time role, 2-3 days per week.

Duties of the Part Time Finance Manager include:

  • Preparation of month end to trial balance stage
  • Monthly journals, accruals, prepayments, deferred income, and accrued income
  • Month End Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Management of sales and purchase ledger
  • Manage accurate and timely customer invoicing.
  • Review of aged debtors and debtor collection
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Foreign exchange supplier management
  • Cashflow management via spreadsheet
  • Review and management of bank account balances across the company.
  • Preparation of regular supplier payment runs.
  • Management and reconciliation of company credit cards and Revolut account
  • Management of auto-enrolled and directors pension scheme (joiners, leavers, payments)
  • Management of monthly payroll changes with outsourced payroll bureau
  • Posting of payroll journals & reconciliation of HMRC accounts
  • Supporting the CFO with monthly management accounts and reforecasts
  • Maintain accuracy of invoice tracker in conjunction with project managers
  • Support the development and management of annual budget
  • Review of overheads on a quarterly basis
  • Investigating and recommending cost saving initiatives
  • Work with accountants to provide schedules for year-end accounts and corporation tax.

Requirement for the Part Time Finance Manager include:

  • Part qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3-4 years' experience working in a financial role.
  • Must have very strong Xero experience.
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange transactions
  • Experience of agency businesses or other professional services would be an advantage.
  • Must be tech-savvy, being able to navigate office systems efficiently.
  • Excellent MS Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
  • Excellent Telephone and Written Communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with staff and clients, able to prioritise workload and be self-sufficient.
  • A team player is required as the role entails active participation in the wider team, in addition to being able to work on their own.
